Carina Vince - violin
Whilst studying the violin at The Royal Academy of Music with Diana Cummings, Carina Vince was the leader of the Hertfordshire Youth Orchestra, who performed at The Royal Albert Hall. At the Academy, she received coaching from the Alberni String Quartet and orchestral training from Sir Colin Davis and Yehudi Menuhin. She performed the Mozart, Beethoven and Bruch violin concertos with the Maltings Sinfonia. Graduating in 1996, Carina started her career as an orchestral and chamber musician, playing with several orchestras including the Belmont Ensemble of London, appearing as soloist with them in St. Martin in the Fields, Trafalgar Square. She played with the Alexandra String Quartet, who performed regularly at The Victoria and Albert Museum. Carina also toured France, giving recitals with pianist Stephane Trebuchet. She taught at St. Albans school and for Hertfordshire Music Service. Since moving to the south-west in 2008, Carina has set up a private teaching school at her home and has continued to play regularly with many ensembles, including the Ten Tors Orchestra. As chamber musician, she has played with groups including the Clifton Quartet, Rosewood Quartet and Four Seasons Quartet. Carina is now delighted to be a member of Trio Exe.
